Confidence Man Brought the Party to Halsted Street

Janet Planet and Sugar Bones moments before their first song.

Confidence Man brought pure charisma and controlled chaos to Pride Fest Chicago 2025, transforming Halsted’s closed-off street into an all-out dance party. Performing to a packed crowd at the North Stage on Saturday night, the Aussie electro-pop group delivered a set bursting with synchronized moves, outrageous outfits, and pulsing beats.

Led by the ever-theatrical Janet Planet and Sugar Bones, the duo didn’t just perform—they commanded the celebration. Their tongue-in-cheek confidence, campy choreography, and playful crowd work made their set one of the weekend’s undeniable highlights.

From fan favorites like “Boyfriend (Repeat)” to newer club-heavy tracks off their 2024 album 3AM (LA LA LA), every moment was a joyful, sweaty, glitter-drenched tribute to queerness and unapologetic fun.
